It had snowed and rained all day, but by 6:00, we actually caught a break and it warmed up to almost 50 after being in the teens and 20's for what seemed like weeks. Ran with no gloves and no tights for the first time in a while. Everything was nice and balmy at first and we caught a nice tailwind even. Then, when we turned around after 4, the wind really came. We headed back up the hills and got 20-30 mph at first, which by 6 turned into 40 sustained and gusts of 50-60, no lie. Then, after getting to 7, it started to rain, with the wind. By 10 we were running in an absolute deluge; sideways rain that was pelting us like gravel. We still kept the pace under 7, which was miraculous. We were all laughing by then end and it's stuff like this that makes us all stronger. Runs like this make Boston seem much easier.
