8 miles @ 6:53 pace.
The area below the injury felt like tight cables this morning when I got out of bed, and by the time I was getting ready to run, it was certainly feeling looser. Still, the first 1/4 mile was a slow, gingerly thing, but unlike the injury and it's beginnings, as I ran, it loosened up nicely. By 2.5, everything was feeling good, and by 5, I felt like a nice, smooth and easy 6:40 pace could be run all day.
Finished it up coming off the bike path to the road and 8 miles didn't feel so long (which I still look at as strange when I see it written on the page, because it's like, "Duh, 8 miles isn't long, but it's all relative these days.
Good run. Looking forward to the next.
