5 miles, easy cheesy (well, it was 6:30 pace, but in taper mode, it felt like I may as well have been standing still.)
I promised my trusted advisor that I would refrain from running today, but as I got 13 hours of sleep, felt good and above all, it's my birthday, I'll be damned if I'm not doing what I like the most at least a little bit.
Tried out a new pair of New Balance RC1400's, which I like, but still ordered a pair of Lunaracers for Sunday. It just can't be overlooked that Every single sub-2:37 marathon over the last 4 years for me has come in those. I know it's not about the shoes, but there's really just something about the way that foam absorbs shock and bounces right back that I can't get enough of.
The NB's make excellent lightweight trainers, and as they were all of $54 on sale, they're a welcome addition regardless.
