12 miles.
8 miles early. Hill workout. 8 x 1:00 or less on this nasty hill in Wellfleet on Chequessett Neck up to the entrance to Great Island.
The first few, I started with Scott and got ahead of him.
The last 3, I began 20-30 feet behind him and picked it up, passing him as we approached the top.
I was surprised I got through them all strong. It made me feel good about being able to do it and do it well, but at the same time, it exposed how long it's been since I raced or did this kind of stuff. I'm just glad that for the past 2 weeks, I've been getting consistent strength training in, otherwise, I'd really be screwed.
Speaking of, 4 miles later with weights and core at the gym.
Really productive day.
