10 miles.
Lone Gull 10k. Stop # 5 on the USATF-NE 2013 GP Series.
33:25, 4th Master. I really couldn't be much happier about a rather mediocre time on a rather fast course. This is where I'm at. I'm 7-10 lbs. overweight, my mileage 2 months ago was 10 miles a week and now it's 40-ish. No workouts and lousy sleep. Not excuses, reasons. I know where I'm at and why I'm there and running between 5:15 and 5:27 pace all day out there is something I'm actually rather pleased with. Bummed as hell that that team lost a place by 7 seconds, but I honestly couldn't find that in me, nor could the rest of us. We always go hard.
Sure I ran 32:18 for a PR 4 years ago, but that was me on 80 miles a week and racing and training hard and smart.
Regardless, great day and good to see everyone. Left me feeling pretty OK, which is a good sign if I have any hopes of making a dent in the standings at Nahant.
Just want to finish out the year strong and then rest for a bit before going into the winter and Boston.
