Decided to just get on the bike and go. Gorgeous day.
Shifted the seat forward slightly and noticed that it made going to the lower part of the drops that much easier. The second half of the ride ended up being much better as a result of the decision to go lower. 19.7 m.p.h. average, but faster on the second half. Not blazing, but a good even ride.
