I did 12 from here to the gym and around, doing a 6:18 pace with the last few miles between 6:05 and 6:13. The cold made me go pretty fast as I was just trying to keep my body temp up.
By the time I got to the gym, it was dark and @ 18 degrees. I quickly got out of my cold wet clothes and got on the treadmill within minutes to do another 8 at @ 6:45 pace. I figure the overall pace was @ 6:28 and though quicker than I wanted to do a 20, still good and even feeling overall (though from here on in I'd prefer to finish fast, but today was a bit customized due to the terrain.)
I'll do a 8-10 recovery tomorrow and try to make the week somewhere above 80, with Kevin's 10 miler Sunday, where I'll try to hold 5:24's as long as I can to see how that will go for the DH. I may even try to go 5:28's for the first 5 and pick it up from there.
Regardless, happy with today and will now proceed to the ice cream. Yum.
