8 miles @ 6:33 pace.
Felt quite good, so good in fact that I kept thinking about still running the 5k this weekend. But then I realized how much I was enjoying running 8 miles at a decent pace with no pain and figured that I might want to enjoy more of it before I fuck up a good thing.
However, one more week like this and I'll start to hate myself for not racing, so until I can't take it anymore, I'll just have to say, "good run."

Well said. Joe, I think I'm in the same boat as you. I'm just starting to get back in the 40's and will hit 50 miles this week for the first time since early January. I am itching to race, just to do something different. But getting healthy is obviously more important at this point. Good luck!

Thanks Mike. It helps to hear that. I know right up until it gets too late to make the drive from the Cape to Cambridge tomorrow I'll be thinking about it. All this running all the time without racing only provides so much satisfaction. I need some action!
Good luck to you too. Hopefully we'll both be back to full strength soon!
