0 miles.
Cold definitely here, leg feeling better.
Went to the DY/Nauset meet and saw Keith. He's having some breathing issues likely related to a deeply set bronchitis, but he was still able to win the 2 mile in 10:50 and run 55 for the 4x400 relay (first leg, no less.) Not bad for not being able to breathe. Can't wait to train with him more. Great kid (young man) and still has room for more speed and strength.
Saw Sean Nee run his first meet too and he looked solid going 2:05 for 2nd in the 800. He's just a great looking runner. All the elements are there for him to become an absolute beast with the right coaching in college. I could see him going 1:50 easy and doing some damage in the mile. He also could be a heck of steepler if he's so inclined to that craziness.
Andrew Herwig from Nauset reminds me of Max Darrah a little in that he looks like a full-grown man next to the high school kids and he runs like one too. I didn't time his leg on the 4x400, but he absolutely flew around those turns and with those crazy long strong, engine legs, he seemed to cover the straights in 5 or 6 steps. Really a sight.
Everyone's been taking note of how Matt Clark's made Nauset a legit running program in a short amount  of time. Good stuff.
Hoping to make the most of this week and just get healthy. The Irish Village is still on the calendar, but I won't run it if I'm not healthy.
