12 miles @ 6:26 pace overall with Brian Allen in Brewster.
Headed out to Nickerson to meet up with the awesome Mr. Allen for what assuredly would be a quick run through the paved rollers of the park.
Got right down to business and started clicking off 6:35-ish pace after a mile warmup.
Last 6 went from 6:15 to 6:01. Felt great.
Really helped to restore some confidence after the marathon and it also was great to talk with Brian about how his race went and to compare it to mine and how his preparation was comparatively as well. Also had to again thank him for his remarkable effort on a hard course to seal the tie for the year end win for the team. He and Mark and Ephraim came through with the biggest performance of the year and really bailed us (and me especially) out.
Just a great run with a great dude on a great day. Couldn't ask for much more.
Can't wait to race XC at Westfield and try to get my mojo back.
